The .55X Wide Angle Adapter offers a lightweight single-element design that allows the user to go substantially wider without noticeable distortion. This adapter nearly doubles the angle of view and it allows close focusing — right up to the lens front — on many camcorders. When this adapter is attached, angle of view is increased by 45%. Partial zoom adapter, allows zoom capability from wide angle to mid-range when using the camera in auto focus mode.
Attaches directly to the 37mm front thread of the Sony A1U, Sony HC1, Sony HD1000U  and Canon HV10 camcorders. Attachment comes with three standard ring sizes of 27mm, 30mm & 30.5mm.
